Vintage Niki Gray Fox Fur Stand Collar Jacket, 1980s

A hip-length jacket of fox pelts worked vertically from shoulder to hem. The fur runs from pale gray-white at the root to taupe at the tips. A stand collar of the same fox frames the neck, and the shoulders are wide and padded over long sleeves. The silhouette is full on top and shorter below.

This is a piece of the 1980s fur wardrobe, when fox was cut generously and shouldered to match tailoring. The label is Niki, and the tall pelts and strong shoulder date the jacket to that decade.

Fox fur, origin Finland. Lined in 100% acetate in pale lilac-gray. Made in Hong Kong. Niki label. Size M. Very good condition.
