Les Bernard Inc. was founded in New York in 1963 by Bernard Shapiro and designer Lester Joy. Through the 1960s to 1990s, the house built a reputation for well-constructed, design-forward costume jewelry — from rhinestone brooches to the confident sculptural metalwork that defined its 1980s production.
