Vintage Christian Dior "The Suit" Black Wool Evening Blazer, 1980s

A blazer from Christian Dior's "The Suit" line, dating to the 1980s — produced during the tenure of Marc Bohan, the Maison's directeur artistique from 1961 to 1989 and the creative steward of Dior's classical refinement through the decade. Bohan's vision maintained the house's founding principles: structured silhouettes, precise tailoring, and the hourglass ideal that Christian Dior had established with his landmark 1947 New Look.

The collarless V-neckline, softly structured shoulders, and nipped waist reference that founding silhouette directly. Three crystal dome buttons complete the construction. Labeled Christian Dior "The Suit" Paris-New York — a hallmark of authentic 1980s Dior tailoring.
