Vintage Givenchy Black Crowned Horn Button Blazer, Late 1980s to Early 1990s
A single-breasted black blazer in a fine twill weave, cut with a notched lapel, structured shoulders and a long, straight body. It closes with two gold-tone domed buttons, and three matching buttons sit at each cuff. All are embossed with a crowned hunting horn on a pebbled ground. Jetted hip pockets and a welted chest pocket keep the front line clean.
Hubert de Givenchy founded his house in Paris in 1952 and built its reputation on exact, uncluttered tailoring. The interlocking 4G emblem on the interior label belongs to the house’s work of the 1980s and early 1990s, the final years of the founder’s own tenure before his retirement in 1995.
