Vintage Giorgio Armani Black Satin Peak Lapel Double-Breasted Tuxedo Jacket, Late 1980s to Early 1990s
A double-breasted black jacket with wide peak lapels faced in satin and padded, extended shoulders. Four satin-covered buttons close the front over a long, roomy body. Jetted hip pockets and a welted chest pocket keep the line uninterrupted.
Giorgio Armani founded his house in Milan in 1975 and took the stiffness out of tailoring, with softer construction and a fluid drape. By the 1980s this had become one of the defining silhouettes of the decade. The tuxedo jacket was one of the forms he reworked most, here in the broad-shouldered proportions of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
100% virgin wool. Lined in 100% viscose rayon. Made in Italy.
