Vintage Christian Dior Navy Crest Button Blazer, 1980s to Early 1990s
A single-breasted navy blazer in a fine twill weave, cut with a notched lapel, structured shoulders and a long, easy body. Flapped hip pockets and a welted chest pocket sit on the front. It closes with two brushed gold-tone buttons, with four more at each cuff. Each is stamped with a shield crest framed by a laurel wreath.
Christian Dior opened his house in Paris in 1946 and changed the postwar silhouette with the New Look the following year. The Paris and New York label places this blazer in the house’s tailoring of the 1980s and early 1990s, when the crest button and a navy-and-gold palette were part of its classic repertoire.
Wool twill. Fully lined in navy. Tailored in USA. Christian Dior label. Very good condition, with no visible damage or staining.
