Vintage Yves Saint Laurent YSL Gold Scrollwork Pearl Drop Earrings, 1980s

Clip-on earrings in hammered gold-tone metal, the scrollwork twisted into an open clover form from which a single baroque pearl is suspended. The irregular shape of the baroque pearl — deliberately chosen over a round stone — and the hand-worked quality of the scrollwork are hallmarks of Yves Saint Laurent's most collectible costume jewelry from the 1980s, produced during the house's most prolific period of accessories design.
