Vintage Givenchy Boutiques Paris Bouclé Tweed Jacket, Late 1980s to Early 1990s

A longline jacket in richly textured bouclé tweed — violet, fuchsia, black, turquoise, and gold-flecked fibres woven through with metallic Lurex thread for a finish that shifts with movement. Single-breasted with a clean V-neckline, long sleeves, and four gold-tone buttons engraved with the Givenchy 4G motif. Fully lined in black acetate. Made in France. Fabric composition: 63% wool, 30% acetate, 6% acrylic, 1% Lurex; 100% acetate lining. French size 40.

Bearing the Givenchy Boutiques Paris label, the jacket dates to the late 1980s or early 1990s — a period when Hubert de Givenchy continued to direct both the haute couture and the Boutiques ready-to-wear line until his retirement in 1995. The textural bouclé and Lurex weave reflect the decade's appetite for surface richness in tailoring, executed with the restrained elegance that characterised Givenchy's output throughout his tenure.
