Vintage Christian Dior Double Breasted Charcoal Jacket, Late 1980s to Early 1990s

A double-breasted blazer from Christian Dior's menswear line, produced during the creative direction of Gianfranco Ferré — who succeeded Marc Bohan at the house in 1989 and brought a distinctly architectural sensibility to Dior's codes. Known as "the architect of fashion" for his background as a trained architect, Ferré reinterpreted Dior's founding precision through a lens of sculptural volume and assertive proportion.

This blazer in dark gray pinstripe wool exemplifies the period: broad, structured shoulders, a commanding double-breasted front, and a lapel of deliberate weight. Where Bohan had refined, Ferré dramatized — this piece carries the mark of that transition, a silhouette that commands presence through its construction rather than its ornament.
